Keefe Harrison is CEO of The Recycling Partnership, a national, corporate-backed nonprofit transforming the U.S. recycling system. While recycling feels universal, the truth is that only half of American can recycle at home as easily as they can throw something away. This group is working to change that and deliver powerful environmental and economic impacts as a result. A 19-year veteran of the waste reduction and recycling field, Keefe has experience including firms, governments and organizations such as Booz Allen, the North Carolina Department of Environment and the Association of Plastics Recyclers. Prior to her work in recycling, Keefe researched green sea turtle populations in Tortuguero, Costa Rica, studied reindeer husbandry in Finland and worked on a sustainable forestry chainsaw crew in the mountains of North Carolina. An active national speaker and published author on recycling and environmental issues, Keefe lives with her husband, two children and their backyard hens in Walpole, New Hampshire.
