Krishna Rajan

Krishna Rajan is SUNY Distinguished Professor and the inaugural Erich Bloch Chair of the Department of Materials Design and Innovation at the University at Buffalo: the State University of New York. Professor Rajan is the leading proponent of the field of Materials Informatics. His research is on the application of information science and data-intensive methodologies for the discovery, characterization and modeling of materials. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Toronto and a doctorate from MIT followed by a postdoctoral appointment at Cambridge University; all in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.
