Melissa Peterson

Melissa Peterson is Head of Power-to-X (P2X) North America at Ørsted. In her current role, she is responsible for leading the strategy and development of Ørsted’s P2X business in North America, which includes the development of green hydrogen and e-fuels. Prior to leading the P2X business, Melissa led Ørsted’s origination activities across their Onshore North American Portfolio. With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy, she has worked for other renewable energy players such as Apex Clean Energy and EDF-Renewables. Melissa has developed over 1,000 megawatts of operating renewable energy projects and executed over two gigawatts of Power Purchase Agreements. Melissa holds a Master’s degree from SUNY-Albany and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
