Michael Puckett

Michael brings more than ten years of experience successfully building and leading innovative projects and programs in wide range of energy and sustainability roles. Michael launched an R&D program aimed at using innovative technologies to reduce wildfire risk and improve electric reliability and operational efficiency. Previously he overhauled PG&E’s approach to investigating fires and equipment failure and oversaw the investigation, regulatory and legal response to hundreds of major incidents. He led several projects demonstrating innovative uses for distributed energy resources, including California’s first deployment of clean energy resources as a transmission asset. Michael earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University. He graduated from the University of Sydney with both a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Math. Michael’s certifications include LEED Existing Buildings Associate Professional, Engineer-in-Training (EIT), and Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
