Senior Director of Maintenance and Engineering UPS
Scott Phillippi is senior director of maintenance and engineering, international operations for UPS. In this role, Phillippi manages maintenance and engineering for all international operations. Additionally, he oversees fleet sustainability issues globally for UPS. Phillippi began his career with UPS in 1988 as a fleet technician. His experience includes assignments in fleet maintenance and package delivery operations. He has held several senior director positions in which he was responsible for the fleet maintenance programs in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi. Phillippi has been a special projects manager where he was responsible for the cost planning and analysis of the UPS domestic fleet. He was also responsible for UPS global fleet telematics deployment. Most recently, as automotive maintenance and engineering manager, Phillippi was responsible for working with chassis manufacturers and body builders to produce UPS delivery vehicles. The integration of alternative fuel and advanced technologies into the fleet was included with this responsibility. This role also provided ongoing technical support for maintenance procedures sustaining these vehicles through their life cycles. Phillippi is a graduate from Lincoln College of Technology with an Associate Degree in Applied Science. He has also completed several business training schools, including Harvard Business School and Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Phillippi is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and is an active board member for Calstart and Clean Cites.
