Violaine Berger

Violaine Berger is Senior Manager for Learning and Innovation at IDH, the Sustainable Trade Initiative. The organization brings together companies, governments, civil society and others in public-private partnerships to realize green and inclusive growth at scale in commodity sectors and sourcing areas.At IDH, Violaine provides guidance on strategies to address deforestation and develops the IDH approach to sustainable landscapes, where agricultural products are grown sustainably (Production), forests are safeguarded (Protection), and farmers and communities thrive (Inclusion) — the PPI approach.Before joining IDH, Violaine led the Ecosystems and Landscape Management Cluster of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a global coalition of some 200 companies focusing on sustainable development.
