Toby Buth

Toby Buth leads all aspects of evaluating Starbucks’ enterprise environmental performance — working with more than 150 individual activity data owners across the organization. His efforts over the past three years have helped the coffee chain identify more than 7.7 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in reduction opportunities.

Buth led the digital transformation of the Starbucks carbon footprint, reducing timelines for completing footprinting exercises by more than four months, enabling improved accountability across the organization and the inclusion of strategies related to addressing climate change in long-term incentive programs.

Buth started his career as an ESG consultant before joining Starbucks in 2022. He has an undergraduate degree in environmental engineering.
