Circularity Design Lab: Turning Circularity into Business Decisions
What’s covered
This hands-on workshop will help corporate practitioners move circularity from ambition into real business decision-making. Using the Global Circularity Protocol as a practical framework, participants will work in small, cross-functional groups through a realistic product or value-chain scenario, defining system boundaries, identifying circular interventions, selecting decision-useful indicators, and navigating tradeoffs across cost, performance, risk, and customer value. The session will include WBCSD framing, a real-world member perspective, interactive table work, and plenary synthesis. Participants will leave with practical insights for embedding circularity into product, procurement, and business planning decisions.
Duration: 2 hours, including: arrival/networking, welcome and framing, real-world insight, 60-minute interactive lab, plenary reflection, and closing.
Expected attendance: Ideally 30-40 participants. The format of this side event depends on small, cross-functional table groups, facilitated discussion, spokesperson report-outs, and real-time insights, so it should be capped to ensure the hands-on practitioner experience.
