Emissions Reduction Plans and Lessons Learned from DOE’s Better Climate Challenge
What’s covered
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Climate Challenge engages over 200 organizations in achieving ambitious commitments to halve portfolio-wide emissions within ten years with a special focus on Scopes 1 and 2 emissions. After three years of the program, DOE can share lessons learned, common solutions and barriers to GHG emissions reductions, and real world pathways to decarbonization from sectors across the U.S. economy.
Based on real time feedback from partners and in conjunction with key industry players such as ASHRAE, the DOE has also created foundational no-cost resources such as a framework for emissions reduction planning and a template scope of work for decarbonization audits. In this conversation you’ll learn from the experts at the DOE and have an opportunity to ask your own questions about emissions reductions initiatives.
