Sustainable Aviation Fuel: A Flightpath to 2030
What’s covered
Every sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production pathway will need to play a role in helping achieve the US federal government’s ambitious goal of 3 billion gallons of domestic SAF consumption by 2030. But the path has been turbulent, with some facilities coming online this year and other projects stalled out.
At its core, the U.S. SAF industry continues to navigate significant barriers to commercial deployment, including complex global feedstock dynamics, insufficient and fragmented policy support, green premiums, a lack of up-front capital to commercialize plants, and inadequate supporting infrastructure development. Overcoming these barriers will require system-wide collaboration between SAF producers, airlines, corporate incumbents, financiers, communities, and policymakers.
Join us for a problem-solving workshop where we will take a clear-eyed view of the current state of the SAF industry and what solutions and market conditions will be needed to accelerate the widespread adoption of a diverse, low-carbon fuel mix in the aviation sector.
