Adam oversees sustainability and the environmental attribute transfer system at World Energy a renewable fuels developer. He co-leads aviation’s first long-term Book & Claim contracts that will catalyze a new market. Adam is also the elected Board Chair of the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB).
In his previous role at the energy think tank Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), Adam was the chief architect of the sustainable aviation fuel certificate (SAFc) concept, a first-of-its-kind market instrument mitigating scope 3 (indirect) supply chain emissions. At RMI he co-founded the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance (SABA) with the Environmental Defense Fund. For these achievements the Climate Registry recognized Adam as a National Climate Leader in 2024.
Before RMI, Adam worked in consultancies and for the Federal government advancing sustainable transportation. He holds a master’s in environmental science and policy from Columbia University was an instructor for Outward Bound and NOLS.
