About the session

What’s covered

As “Buy Clean” and other green procurement policies expand in the U.S., purchasers and designers must be able to easily identify materials that meet their performance needs, local and state laws, and contribute to their organizations’ climate goals. This tutorial will provide an overview of the current state of initiatives and avenues for buyers to signal demand for lower carbon materials. This interactive session will include the perspective of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other purchasers from across sectors. Understanding these trends is crucial for product designers, the architecture and design community and large-scale purchasers alike.
