Ann Kowalski

Ann Kowalski is a chemical engineer with deep experience translating complex science into competitive grants projects technical publications, and commercialization strategies. She currently serves as Head of Grants and Business Operations for Valor Metals, Inc., where she leads grant proposal development and project management. Ann holds a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Colorado State University and a BS in Biosystems Engineering from Clemson University. Her career spans semiconductor manufacturing, clean tech commercialization, and academic research in protein engineering and nanomaterials. She began her career as an NSF fellow conducting technoeconomic assessment, life cycle analyses, and bioenergy feasibility studies. Outside of work, she is an avid mountain biker and backcountry skier.
