James Burbridge

James Burbridge works with clients to advise them on high-quality carbon reduction and removal solutions. Specifically, he focuses on helping clients develop strategies to understand their emissions profile and thinking tactically on their reduction and removal programs.

James Burbridge draws on his experience as an energy markets journalist in China and Singapore where he covered the Chinese energy sector and Asia Pacific fuel oil markets. In 2015 he moved to North American carbon markets and helped launch the OPIS Carbon Market Report.

Prior to Carbon Direct, James worked at the XPRIZE Foundation where he designed and pitched the $100M XPRIZE Carbon Removal. He also worked on the prize operations team of the $20M NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE.
