Dr. Jesica Urbina is the Founder and CEO of Infinite Elements, a biotechnology company developing BioDissolve™, a platform that enables the sustainable recovery of critical minerals from mining waste and electronic waste. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology and previously conducted research at NASA Ames Research Center, the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the U.S. Geological Survey, where her work focused on synthetic biology, environmental microbiology, and resource recovery.
Dr. Urbina founded Infinite Elements to bridge the gap between breakthrough biotechnology and the mining industry, developing scalable biological solutions that reduce energy consumption, lower environmental impacts, and strengthen domestic critical mineral supply chains. Under her leadership, the company has secured multiple federal awards and strategic industry partnerships to advance next-generation mineral processing technologies.
