Kristen Mertens

Kristen is a Program Manager at GMA, where she manages the Low-Emissions Fertilizer program and provides support for the Advanced and Indirect Mitigation (AIM) Platform. Kristen works with GMA’s member companies to scale the market for low-emission fertilizer solutions through joint procurement and the development of a book and claim system for the sector.
Prior to joining GMA, Kristen was a Manager at ENGIE Impact, where she helped clients establish and implement their sustainability strategies. Her primary focus was working with clients to credibly reach their goals by leveraging market-based mechanisms, including leading large-scale procurements.
Kristen holds a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College. She is based in Minneapolis, MN (Central Time Zone).
