She has consulted with Fortune 500 companies like General Motors, Exelon, Chevron, BASF and others to develop strategies and frameworks to integrate biodiversity in business. These strategies have been deployed in companies and along supply chains across over 1,000 conservation programs in 28 countries and have connected simple and complex acts of conservation to larger corporate, community and climate goals.
Currently she also serves as President and CEO of the World Environment Center (WEC) where she is leading a combination with WHC towards launching a global entity supporting business at the convergence of climate, water, nature and social impact.
Margaret is a compelling writer and speaker on the need to act for nature. She is the author of “Strategic Corporate Conservation Planning.” She uses her platform and audience to promote private sector engagement in conservation action to restore ecosystems, recover species and connect communities. She is an advocate for action and especially for connecting the various emerging nature-based frameworks to real change to improve the ecological health of our planet.
