Mariana Sarmiento

Mariana Sarmiento is the founder and CEO of Terrasos, Colombia’s leading company in the development of environmental innovative solutions for conservation and restoration. Mariana earned a Master’s in Environmental Policy and Management from Yale University and has a background in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Tulane University. Mariana founded Terrasos in 2013 as an initiative to impact social, economic, and ecological development in Colombia, and since then, Terrasos work has been able to positively impact over 50,000 hectares in Colombia. Her approach enables organizations to invest in an efficient, effective, and secure manner. Mariana is curious, optimistic, and hard-working. She is the mother of two wonderful girls, Alicia, and Isabel.
