Michael Kobori

Michael Kobori has spent his career working to build a more just and sustainable world. He is a strategic advisor for NationSwell. He has served as an independent Director of Bunge Global, SA, one of the world’s largest agricultural companies. Michael recently retired as Chief Sustainability OGicer at Starbucks CoGee Company. Previously, he spent 22 years leading sustainability and human rights at Levi Strauss & Co.

Michael currently serves on the President’s Leadership Council of The Asia Foundation and as a member of the U.S.-Japan Council. He holds a M.P.P. from the University of California at Berkeley, where he also received his undergraduate education. He spent a year at International Christian University in Tokyo and studied sustainable finance at Oxford University.
