Mike Scwartz has spent more than a dozen years guiding organizations through all levels of maturity along their Sustainability & ESG journeys. At Republic Services, the Fortune 500 environmental services & sustainability company, he drives related strategy and implementation, embodied by engagement with investors, customers, raters & rankers, and the broader public. His prior experience includes sustainability-focused startups, EcoVadis – the world’s leading supplier sustainability ratings agency, and related consulting. Mike earned a master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara and a bachelor’s in economics from Columbia.
