Dave is the Founder of [OPLN] Ocean Plastics Leadership Network In 2019, Dave spearheaded the Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit, which took 165 plastics leaders (activist-to-industry) to the Atlantic Garbage patch 500 miles off the coast of Bermuda. The success of this expedition and its wide array of attendees (from Dow to Greenpeace) gave birth to the Ocean Plastics Leadership Network--and its unique position in the plastics ecosystem as a neutral facilitator at the intersection of experience, policy, and data. OPLN's work catalyzes environmental stakeholder engagement, education, and action. The OPLN has formal engagements with the UN and the United Kingdom Government. Dave has spoken about his work via United Nations World Ocean Day, the National Geographic Circular Economy Forum, and various sustainability and environmental events and platforms. He is a regular contributor to Scientific American.
