Service providers include companies that offer third-party services to help clients plan, execute, measure or communicate their sustainability efforts, such as:

• Consulting firms and specialized agencies

• Auditors and verification bodies
• Sustainability research or data providers
• Other professional service organizations selling into the corporate sustainability market

Volunteer roles include but are not limited to:

Volunteers will be assigned to either one full day shift (7am – 5:30pm) or two 5 hour shifts across the 3 day event. When you are not volunteering, you will have access to the full conference, except for field trips.

Please note that your overnight accommodations and transportation are your responsibility and are not covered by Trellis.

All breakout, workshop and tutorial sessions at GreenBiz 27 are audio recorded, including audience questions. We do not audio record sponsored breakfasts, sponsored dinners, breakfast roundtables nor lunch roundtables. 

We video record and livestream the GreenBiz 27 main stage program. 

We offer sponsors the opportunity to video record their breakout sessions and disclose that in the session description in the event program.

We don’t identify audience members in our recordings or transcripts unless you choose to say your name or affiliation yourself as part of your question.

To turn each session into insights we analyze — both about that individual session and, together with our other sessions, patterns and topics that come up across the event. This helps us understand what’s resonating and improve future events. 

Also, much like being an attendee, our content team physically can’t get to all 85+ sessions we build but want to know what worked and what didn’t. The recordings help us be in many places at once!

No. We do not publish raw audio recordings or full transcripts. 

We may produce summarized recaps — for example, for sponsors who want to understand the insights from a session they sponsored. We are also exploring what it could look like to provide session recaps to attendees as we often receive feedback that summaries would be helpful for trip reports and sessions they were not able to attend. 

These external recaps include themes and takeaways, not verbatim quotes.

Only if the speaker approves. Slide sharing is handled separately from the audio recording and is opt-in for speakers. We have offered this for years.

No. Recording is a standard condition of speaking at GreenBiz 27 and we don’t offer transcript review or editing.

For the purposes of this policy, “commercial” recording or distribution refers to capturing or using audio, video, photos, or transcripts to promote, market, sell, or support a business, product, service, or brand, including use in marketing, advertising, lead generation, or sales activities. This includes content created with professional or production-grade equipment.

Commercial audio, video, or photography equipment is not permitted without prior written approval from Trellis. Approval is typically limited to sponsors recording discrete sponsored activations, such as their own breakout session or booth area.

Recording and publishing full session audio, video, or transcripts is not permitted.

Personal note-taking, brief social media sharing, and editorial coverage by accredited press are not considered commercial use. Attendees should expect others to take notes for personal use, share brief insights, blog posts, or photos on social media (including LinkedIn), and that accredited press may attend sessions for editorial coverage.

Accredited press including from Trellis do not have access to breakout, tutorial and workshop recordings.
