GreenBiz 27 Keynotes
Two 90-minute main stages bring you leaders who’ve done the work of turning climate risk into business opportunity, in a series of candid, unscripted conversations, interviews, stand and delivers, debates and conversations you won’t get anywhere else. No talking points, just real leaders on the real work.
This year’s through line: the middle. The GreenBiz 27 main stage centers on one idea: the middle of a career, of a company’s climate goals, of the sustainability profession itself. As we announce each speaker, we share a first look at how they see the middle, in their own words. Yours is on your speaker graphic, and the sample posts below are built to connect the dots.
Welcome, Benji, to the GreenBiz 27 Keynote Program
Benji Backer, CEO, United by Nature
Benji Backer is joining the GreenBiz 27 main stage for a conversation on working across party lines to move climate and conservation forward. He’ll be joined by two elected officials, one Democrat and one Republican (to be announced), with Grant Harrison, VP of Innovation, Water and Nature at Trellis Group, moderating.
So much of a sustainability leader’s job happens across lines of difference, and Benji is building a movement around that reality. United by Nature launched in 2025 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, near the geographic center of the country, inviting Americans to meet in the middle and build the next generation of the conservation movement. His argument: the progress that lasts is the progress both sides can claim as a win.
Expect a candid look at what it takes to meet in the middle, and what gets done when people do.
