Point Carbon, a research and consulting firm, has launched a database of carbon projects in the United States and Canada.
The 500-plus projects in Carbon Project Manager North America, a subscription-only service, include renewable energy, industrial gas destruction and sequestration efforts.
The web-based tool is a searchable database of greenhouse gas reduction projects, giving a look at the carbon markets in North America. Projects can be searched by type, entities involved, quantity of reductions, state or region, start date, development stage, project name and keywords.
Point Carbon, which focuses on the global power, gas and carbon markets, also runs a global Carbon Project Manager, a database of more than 5,000 carbon projects around the world, excluding projects in North America. That database is geared toward the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation markets, providing details on projects as well as the performances of types of projects, countries, funds and companies.
